After a hugely constructive day of writing yesterday, my IIH (Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension) reared it's ugly head today.
In short, after four doses of high strength Cocodemol, my chronic headache was still raging. In times such as these, there is only one way to cope with IIH headaches resisting pain relief... Sleep.
So from around 4.30pm this afternoon, I slept; I woke up just an hour ago! My head definitely feels a little better, but the headache is still there, along with the typical sore neck and teeth.
I am actually lucky enough to only suffer with IIH mildly, I don't know how the chronic sufferers and those with shunts cope - you are amazing to me!
Anyone who has ever suffered with chronic headaches and migraines will forgive me for sleeping Sunday away; you can't describe it to those who don't and so those of you reading this probably think I wasted my day sleeping.
I did, but it was for survival purposes.
Hope you've all had a lovely, headache/migraine-free weekend!
