I just wanted to put a personal post on tonight's blog; my family and I were so proud to learn that my nephew, who sadly passed away last summer after a bad seizure aged just 18, will be awarded the Order of St John Award for Organ Donation.
He was severely disabled and never learned to walk, never learned to say 'Mum' or 'Dad'... but said 'No' quite frequently, and once loved his pet dog so much that he learned to say his name, Bruno, and when Bruno passed away he never said it again.
He liked to touch the bottoms of pretty ladies, and pull the hair of his sisters, he laughed as he smacked you in the face, and stuck his tongue out to be cheeky, he cried when he hurt, and smiled when he saw his Nanny walk into a room... He lived and he loved and he was - is - loved. He made a friend of every one he met, they were never strangers to him, just friends he was waiting to meet.
In death he saved the lives of two people, saved the hearts of two families. He is our hero and we will never forget him. I am so proud of him, always have been. God bless you, Little Man xxx
